Diane Guerrero is an American actress. Born July 21, 1986, in Passaic, New Jersey to Colombian parents and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. She attended Boston Arts Academy, a performing arts high school.
Guerrero was adopted by other Colombian families and nurtured in the Boston neighborhoods of Roxbury and Jamaica Plain. She has always been interested in performing and has taken advantage of free opportunities in the community or at school.
After that, in 2011, she moved to New York City and enrolled at Boston Arts Academy, a high school for performing arts, where she studied music. While singing with a jazz ensemble was one of her high school interests, she planned to study political science and communications in college.
As the only member of her immediate family with United States citizenship, she remained in the U.S. at the age of 14 when her parents and older brother were deported back to Colombia after unsuccessfully pursuing legal citizenship. Guerrero has since become a strong advocate for immigration reform.

Since high school, Diane has been devoted to singing. She participated in jazz singing in high school, but she planned to study political science and communications in college. She made an appearance in Louie Bello’s Faces music video, which was filmed in Norwood, Massachusetts, in 2010.
